GG's House today
Help can begin with a coat, a phone call, or a connection.
After more than a decade of community work, GG's House knows that people rarely need only one thing. Volunteers listen, share what is available, and help people connect with organizations and public resources that may support their next step.
Connections and next steps
When possible, GG's House helps people identify housing or shelter resources, treatment options, classes, transportation, and other community support.
Skills and participation
Volunteers can build confidence, practice responsibility, learn everyday workplace expectations, and become part of a team that serves others.
Filling the gaps
Help does not always fit inside a program.
Some people need more than a referral or a form. GG's House helps fill the gaps between programs, systems, and everyday life—listening first, making calls, sharing practical help, and connecting people with nonprofit, local, state, and federal resources.
That is what “without unnecessary red tape” means here: human conversation, practical follow-through, and help finding a next step while respecting the requirements of every partner and program.

Mission and vision
Grace made practical.
GG's House was founded to be a conduit of God's grace, to connect on a personal level, and to value each individual by providing dignity and hope.
The vision is to give neighbors a hand up by meeting current needs and sharing the love of Christ. Assistance is offered without regard to a person's background, circumstances, race, or religion.

The people behind the work
The board is also a working volunteer team.
GG's House is 100% volunteer-run. Board members and regular volunteers receive and sort donations, coordinate resources, answer calls, maintain community relationships, and serve people face to face.

Please contact GG's House before bringing a large load. Never leave donations outside when volunteers are not present.
Where the work began
One garage. A growing community. More than a decade of showing up.
Steve and Angel Sheets began gathering and sharing useful things from their detached garage in 2015. What became known as the Lighthouse grew through four locations, organized donations, trusted relationships, and volunteers willing to make room for one more person.
The location has changed, but the work remains independent, community-supported, and 100% volunteer-run.

Second Chance Treasures
A small shop that supports a larger mission.
Second Chance Treasures is a volunteer-supported, boutique-style secondhand shop. Purchases help support GG's House while the working environment gives participants room to practice responsibility, organization, customer service, and everyday workplace expectations.
Hours depend on volunteer availability. Please call before visiting or parking nearby.
