GG's House Giving Grace provides food, clothing, household goods, resource connections, and a welcoming place where people can receive practical help with dignity. Today's work continues from Forest Grove while we pursue a permanent home with room for the community to grow.

Our mission: GG's House Giving Grace brings people and useful resources together so neighbors can receive practical help with dignity, build genuine relationships, and find opportunities to learn, serve, and contribute.
GG's House began serving in 2015. Today, volunteers obtain, sort, and share useful resources while building community relationships one person at a time. Second Chance Treasures is part of that work too, giving people a real setting to practice responsibility and everyday workplace expectations. Community relationships help GG's House extend the reach of donated goods, but GG's House remains an independent, volunteer-run organization.

THE PERMANENT-HOME OPPORTUNITY
A permanent home could give the work room to grow.
GG's House is pursuing the former Laurelwood Academy property as its preferred permanent home. The property has not been acquired. What makes the opportunity compelling is not simply its size. Existing classrooms, shops, gathering spaces, recreation areas, gardens, and open land could give different kinds of community activity room to grow over time. The property also needs substantial restoration. Current photographs show that honestly. Future renderings show possibilities-not an opening plan and not a promise that everything happens at once.

People may come for different reasons and still belong in the same community.
A child may come to learn. A teenager may explore a trade. A parent may build a practical skill. A retiree may mentor. A business may bring experience or resources. A volunteer may show up with an hour to give. And someone who receives practical help today may later choose to return with time, knowledge, encouragement, or service of their own. That is what A Hand Up, Not a Handout means here: help should come with dignity, and people should not be permanently defined by what they need.
Learn and Build
Future spaces could support practical classes, hands-on projects, career exploration, skilled trades, arts, and other ways to build confidence and capability.
Mentor and Share
Tradespeople, educators, artists, employers, retirees, and neighbors may have knowledge worth passing on.
Gather and Belong
Gardens, recreation, performances, family activities, volunteer projects, and community events could give generations reasons to spend time together.
Receive and Contribute
GG's House will continue practical community support while creating more opportunities for people to participate, grow, and contribute in ways that fit them.
CURRENT ACQUISITION CAMPAIGN
One clear first step.
$1.4 Million
The current $1.4 million campaign is for acquisition of the preferred Laurelwood property. It is not the full cost of restoring every building, equipping future programs, or operating a completed campus. If the property is secured, restoration, equipment, program development, and operations would move forward separately and in phases.
